Johnny and June Valentine are a brother-and-sister rock duo without a lot of luck -- or at least none of the good kind. In "The Night The Dead Rocked Texas," the Valentines hit up a lonesome honky-tonk for a once-on-a-lifetime performance by the elusive band The Dead, with explosive results.

In the prequel "Murder Ballad," Johnny and June are lamenting their obscurity -- until June decides to do something about it by cutting a deal with a peculiar kind of devil. If you can't find a crossroads to cut a deal, you may as well make one.
