Doomfish

Deep in the bowels of an unnamed agency that investigates the supernatural, a peculiar fish swims round a bell jar where water floats up. Some say the fish is a prophet; it has been known to say "Doom," or nothing at all.

This is the origin, of sorts, of Doomfish.
